Even by car this is a wonderful trip:
We just took a very nice ride from west ABQ to Jemez Springs, Santa Fe and back via the Turquoise Trail. We ate lunch in Santa Fe where there are so many great places to eat. Up around the Valdera it was a little cool, with altitudes between 8,000 ft. to 9000 ft. All the way back home from Santa Fe into ABQ it was windy, otherwise it was great. Speeds ranged from around +70 mph on 550 down to sections of HWY 4 with speed limits of 10 mph for some sharp hairpin turns. Only section that wasn't very comfortable was HWY 84 into Santa Fe with speed limits of 65 mph, very busy and with aggressive drivers. The trip is a little over 200 miles, at the edge of becoming uncomfortable on a GTS.

I only took one picture - too involved with the ride.
They say you only see one fourth of the Valdera from this view and the shot allows only half of the vista panorama - Kathleen is looking at an elk; you can barely see him, see across top end of the windshield on the blk bike, at the end of the small horz patch of brown grass stands the elk.
