FOR the month of August. Priced lower than an LX150!!!

August is over....

Just kidding about he kitten but seriously if you want a kitten, I can make it happen. Razz emoticon Clown emoticon

What is included is listed below
Heated Grips (Hot Grips Brand)
Extra 12V outlet installed in glove box for charging cell phone or GPS (A second 12V outlet is located under the seat)
Full Windscreen.
stebel horn
Top Case-take it or leave it....see pictures below.

Here is an ideal for a scooter for the rider that does not want the size of their engine to restrict their riding to city only.

For Sale: $4,400 Reduced to $4,200 (my bottom line) REDUCED AGAIN TO $4,000 Reduced (for the month of August) to $3,800
Piaggio BV500
4,307 miles as of last week (miles will inevitably go up before bike is purchased)

2007 model, purchased brand NEW in 2008. Scooter was not registered or ridden until 2008.
16" Front Tire, 14" Rear Tires-currently Pirelli tires on both.

Garage Kept.

Located in Liberty, NY (For NYC residents I can bring it to Goshen, NY for delivery. Goshen is 45 minutes closer to the City)

I have title in hand. Bike is owned free and clear.
Cash or Certified check (buyer will accompany me to bank to deposit before I deliver title and bike)
Here's a link to Piaggios specs on the current BV500 model

This is the most reliable scooter I have ever owned.
Fantastic handling at high and low speeds.
I find the seat very comfortable compared to my GTS.
Ideal for a scooter rider that does not want the size of their engine to dictate where they ride.

90% of the miles are from highway use or long country roads with very little stop and go riding. Speeds varying between 45 and 80 mph....
I have ridden this scooter on paved, unpaved roads and I also took it out to Tennessee Last year to do the Tail of the Dragon and roads in the Smokey Mountain Park.
It has a center stand and a kick stand and you don't have to open the seat to fill up the gas tank. I've filled the gas up while never getting off the scooter.

The only issue I have ever had with it, is the fuel pump hose which was replaced and recalled by Piaggio. They did not design it to handle the amounts of ethanol we have in our fuel here in the US. I replaced the hose myself and have detailed photo documentation. I also have the recall letter for the future owner should they want to have it done by a certified Piaggio service center. (I recommend Metro Scooters in Northvale, NJ)

I won't charge extra for the dead bugs.

This is a buddy of mine who borrowed my scooter for a day. It's great for larger riders (my buddy pictured below) or 140lb females like myself!

*edit*

Here is a picture of the heated grips and the switch that turns them on and off. Left is low, right is high and middle toggle is off. The grips and the 12v are wired so if you are absent minded ( like me) and forget to turn them off or unplug your accessory they WILL NOT continue to drain your battery while the scooter is off. Please don't mind the dust....I just pulled it out of the Garage and hit it with a hose before taking these pics and then taking it for a ride.

Price has been reduced to $4,200. This was my bottom line anyway so there's no need to play games I might as well just throw it out there.

***will also trade (+/-$$) for a early F650gs dual sport or a nice street legal dirt bike with a like kit like a Yamaha 230+****

I have a F800gs right now and I'd like to ad something like it but smaller to my stable.

Hey you never know!

Ironically I got home today and one of my facebook friends sent me a link to two kittens that were found in the bearsville theatre in Woodstock asking me if I knew of any one who wants them, so I could actually make good on my offer, lol...

I don't get it either. The economy is bad but this is one of those deals you get to take advantage of in a bad economy...

With the touring screen and the heated grips there's PLENTY of riding season left no matter where the future buyer lives too!

It seems bv's are hard to sell for some reason. There is a 2007 bv250 near me for $2300 OBO!!!!!!!!!!!! And... it has 375 miles and is in perfect condition. If I had the room..........

Good luck with your sale. All you need is to find someone that can appreciate how good these scooters are.

This is a BV500, NOT a BV250...

I know the scooter will PROBABLY never sell at this point and look forward to many more happy miles on it...

At this point it's like a fucked up economics/science fair/psycgology project and from the number of messages from my ads on different websites that tell me "boy nice scooter, great price wish I could buy it"...It's just grown to be amusing.

Thank goodness my family and I are fine and we can afford to keep it.

OK, this is a bit of a reach but I have to ask. I have a friend who has the nicest VStrom going (it's been featured in Rider magazine articles) and his back demands that he switch to a scooter. At present he's looking at a T-Max but maybe you two could work some sort of trade? If this sounds promising I'll talk to him. PM me?

Thanks.

I think it's often over looked in terms of touring scooters because despite it's power and side case options and not to mention reliability 8) , it does not look like a maxi scooter...

The traditional Maxi scooter look did not appeal to me. This scooter is the only option for someone, like myself, who likes the look of the GTS but needs a practical machine for highway use and doesn't want to ride the bergman/silverwing type looking scoots...

I have to admit the longer it stays on the market with out selling the more I want to keep it. Nerd emoticon I keep telling other people what a great scooter it is and then I start thinking "What the hell is wrong with me?"...."Why don't I ride it more often?" Then I go out to go to work the next day and jump on the BMW.....

Extra 12V outlet installed in glove box for charging cell phone or GPS (A second 12V outlet is located under the seat)
Full Windscreen.

Top Case-take it or leave it....see pictures below.

Here is an ideal for a scooter for the rider that does not want the size of their engine to restrict their riding to city only.
REDUCED $3,800

Dang,
Why can't you be in Chicago!

Just too far for me.

But to own a Catskill original would be awesome.

Someone is going to get an great deal!
