Washington DC has a very active scooter scene, and a very active bulletin board, mostly centered on vintage scooters (and on people who appreciate them even though they might not own one yet). What are you riding?

I ride my GTV into work in DC once or twice a week to get a break from the Metro.

Bill and I are riding to a restaurant on the Chesapeake south of Annapolis this weekend. Haven't picked the day yet but were targeting lunch time. Anyone want to join us?

I would love to join you guys however this weekend is no good for me.

Maybe we can try to get the locals together for lunch once or twice a month.

How about we start a monthly meet and ride on the event forum. Someone can volunteer to "host" a meet up from anywhere in the DC/MD/VA area. I've seen this for some of the other metro areas. I think this works best if we pick a spot to meet for breakfast or lunch. The ride can be to and from, or a group ride after meeting up.

I'll start with a MD meet-n-ride for noon this Monday. Bill and I both live in Bowie so we are going to ride out together. If anyone wants to ride with us, PM me for directions. Otherwise, just meet us there. Let me know if you think you are coming and we'll get a table out on the dock. Cool?

Froggie wrote Can't dis your spouse on his birthday (or any other day for that matter). Too bad, I would like to see that 300 GTS. There is a nicer place the next pier over from where we are meeting in Galesville that would be a good birthday lunch. Its called Pirate's Cove. If we miss you, maybe next time.

Froggie just got a new bike, congrats! We will be looking for that red machine around Annapolis.

Shoot, I had my iPhone at lunch with the intent to take a photo but I got distracted with the conversations. Which is a good thing. I'm sure someone can photo shop something from the movie "3000" which is what we really look like in the flesh

Great to see everyone and the ride to and from lunch was fantastic. I forgot there was a back way into the Baysox stadium that was twisty and relatively deserted. Hope you all enjoyed the dock side dining.

Maybe someone from DC can "host" a lunch. 8th street "Barracks Row" has some great restaurants like "Matchbox" that is an easy ride for those of us Marylanders outside the commonwealth.
