A good portion of Southern Ontario apparently. Shaken and stirred by a 5.0 earthquake this afternoon while I was working. Thank goodness I wasn't taking a scalpel to anyone at the time. My office was shaking pretty good for a bit there. Apparently there isn't much in the way of reported damage. The epicentre of the quake was north of Ottawa (our capital) in western Quebec. I've now felt two earthquakes while at work. I'm not fond of them and hope not to feel any more thank you very much. I know what we had today was nothing in comparison to quakes that many of you get, but they are still a bit off putting.

If we're going to start getting quakes like you nice folks in California, I'd like to have your weather year round to go with it at least.
It really wasn't bad, I think it lasted something like 30 secs. At no point did I feel in danger. Don't forget we're about 5 hours driving distance from Ottawa so we didn't get the 5.0. I have no idea what strength it was here, but it couldn't have been that much at all. We're just wimps when it comes to these things as we have so few quakes. Thank goodness. It was nice of you all to think of me though. |

Earthquakes are definitely part of the game here in CA.
I remember one where I was outside and I could see the "ripples" of the quake travel down the street. Looked like a giant dropped a rock into a lake. Very odd to see asphalt and trees move like water. |

Sacrifice the body, SAVE THE SCOOTER!
Apparently the building I work in is so structurally sound that we didn't feel a thing. The A/C ducts rattled, so we thought it was an A/C thing. No evac |

Until yesterdays tornado I wasn't even aware that we even had trailer parks here. It's gotta be true though - they attract tornado's
