Today I shall set out on a rather epic journey on my little lx50....

From work...to home!

Its going to be long an grueling at 15 miles with some long (but luckily not steep) hills but what shall make this normally routine trip so epic is its raining...and I don't mean raining I mean RAINING HARD....I forgot to grab my raingear this morning since I used it last night when there was a light drizzle.

I looked at the weather doppler an there are two waves of "severe rain" which if I leave at the right moment will be able to maybe get most of the way home in between.

No pics shall be posted sorry but lets see if I can make it home with at least 1 square inch of my underwear dry.

The good thing about getting thoroughly wet is that you can't get any wetter, so you stop worrying - even about potty-stops!

It's bad though if it's cold at the same time - so I hope the temps are kind to you.

I got caught in a storm last week coming home from work. I had a little raincoat with hood. I put the hood on under my helmet. I stayed pretty dry on top, but from the waist down, I was soaked. And the raindrops shot off my flyscreen into my face (open face helmet...ouch!)

I looked so funny when I got home, that DH snapped a picture and I won't be posting it.

What is usually 30 mins with normal traffic took close to an hour. There are multiple routes I can take and I guess yesterday wasn't my day because I got to a point and the road ws flooded so I had to turn around and choose another 'higher' road. I got finally got home and within an hour it let upto a light mist.... And you guys were right once your that wet you can't get any wetter!
