My first Vespa. an 05 GT, 1st of 2 purchased in Newport Beach, July 04. Originally had a dark brown seat. Swapped for a black seat so I could get a topcase without waiting forever for it to arrive. GT #2 has the dark brown seat and topcase. #1 has about 3300 miles, #2 only has 28. Built a folding trailer from a kit, hopefully next summer we'll take them to Yosemite for a weekend of sightseeing. Happy riding, Bear.

I got the Trailer Kit from this website. I added a few options. Took me most of a day to assemble and wire it, and a few weeks to finally locate the flooring I liked. It is diamond plate aluminum, the sheets did not have to be cut or trimmed, they fit perfectly. All I have left to add are the rails for the bikes. Copy and paste the entire link......
http://www.kartworld.com/TRAILERS/TRAILERS-and-HMC/TU-LCI749TC.htm The Tall windscreen I like the most, I have used the midsized one in warmer weather, but the tall one offers more protection from road debris. I ordered it from VE in the UK, they in turn transferred the order to BeedSpeed in the UK. I had ordered two windscreens but they only sent one. It is made by Biondi.....It is the first windscreen listed in the link below...... http://www.ve-uk.com/demo/index.php?listing=1&make=PIAGGIO&model=PIAGGIO+VESPA+GT+200&group=SCREENS Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year ! Bummer ! I am sorry to hear that they did. You can probably e-mail them and see who now carries their product line for trailers. I am sure they would still be available.

Since I last posted, I've been scouring the web for folding trailers. There's the one Rich mentioned on eBay (although here's a direct site for that one) which is also available from Harbor Freight, Sport Utility Trailer, and Northern Tool. This is by far the least expensive model, with Northern Freight having it for the low, low price of $199 without wheels. Most other places sell it complete for under $300. Here's a guy who has one tricked out for hauling his motorcycles around.
There's another brand / model of the same general idea that has caught my attention, and seems to more closely match the one that Ifixjets has, the model 749TC, which is also available from Sport Utility Trailers. There's even a smaller version, the model 746TE, which is available in a variety of configurations, both with motorcycle rails and without. I'm leaning toward that one, although ironically enough it's actually taller than the larger 749TC model when folded and upright. Tall enough, in fact, that it might actually pose a challenge getting through the trellis over the gate to my back yard. I really don't want a trailer that's so huge I can't maneuver it around in traffic, though. Decisions, decisions. ![]() Model 749TC
