Hey all,

New to the forum. I just bought a 2008 Piaggio MP3 and it has a Prima exhaust on it. I'm not a big fan of all of the noise the Prima makes and am interested in purchasing a stock Piaggio exhuast setup. I'm hoping someone on the forum may have modded their exhaust and have a spare stock exhaust they'd be willing to sell.

I'd be happy to send you the Prima should you want to swap it...It sounds throaty like a motorcycle, which is not the sound I'm going for. I suppose I can take some pictures of it for you if you are interested.

Otherwise, I'm not sure how much these stock exhausts go for...I'll look into it and make you an offer.

Hey,

I'm in Chapel Hill, NC. I bought my MP3 250 used with the Prima exhaust on it, and when I took it to a certified Piaggio fellow for a check-up, he told me the exhaust was manufactured for another Piaggio scooter model (I can't recall the name right now). It works for the Piaggio, but it isn't made specifically for the model.

I don't know if you want to swap given that it wasn't intended for the MP3 250. That said, the Piaggio guy said it works alright.

This is his site here - he is certified to work on Piaggios, so I trust his advice: http://www.thescootergarage.com/

Anyways, if you want I could buy it outright from you.

Just let me know.

Thanks, Jacob

prima was never made for the MP3's. it is probably for a vespa gts 250 Whick is the same engine anyway. the swing arm is just a little different between the 2 scoots

Hey,

I'd like to trade with you. I spoke with my mechanic and he is taking the exhaust off the scoot today. I'll go in tomorrow and pick it up. I can send it to you via UPS or FedEx with tracking. Could you send your exhaust via a comparable service with tracking?

I know I am a new user to Modern Vespa, so if you'd like we can speak over the phone to confirm and verify everything (919-370-1018).

I am available today after 3:10pm ET and I am available throughout the day tomorrow.

I will take pics of the exhaust and post them tomorrow.

If you wouldn't mind taking a shot of the oem exhaust as well, that'd be great.

Thanks

Also, my mechanic needs to know whether or not to remove the O2 sensor.

I can send you mine with the O2 sensor as long as you send me yours with the O2 sensor or I can remove it.

I'd feel most comfortable doing this over the phone, so just give me a ring when you can.

Best
