Hi all,

i am beginning to think i am one lucky bas#I$U%#!!
2 scooters so far and to date... both of them have cracked front cowls where the screws hold the front and back cowls together.

Is this a common occurance? The areas where these screws fit are so tiny. As soon as one side is broken it's not too long before the other one goes too!

For the mean while since they are both broken, i've just used heavy duty tape to hold the two cowls together until i replace both parts at once....

Just wonderinghat people have done to hold them together..
i would assume that every 5 yrs or so they may need replacing due to wear and tear once cracked?

I had the same problem with an LX150. I used (can't remember what brand) plastic weld which I purchased at Home Depot. That seemed to hold up OK. (traded it in since then ) I thought it was just my scoot but I noticed the same problem on another used scoot that was on sale on the internet. Now reading about your scooters cracking it seems to be fairly common. So far the 250 isn't showing signs of cracking, but it's fairly new. You may want to try this until you get the parts replaced.

+1 on this problem. I thought it may have just been the previous owner who was a bit overzealous with a screwdriver. I have a large screw in one side that seems to be holding it together so far. No doubt it will give way in the near future and I'll have to find a more permanent solution.
