Modern Vespa

Have been a major fan of Michael Schumacher for many years, had great hopes when he joined up with Ross Brawn and Mercedes, but, they are not panning out well. Michel is becoming a menace on the track, past pride, illusions of grandeur or whatever, to threaten someone with a race car as he did with Rubens Barrichello at the Hungry Grand Prix is wrong; he needs to step back and reevaluate himself and racing in F1.

I agree with most of this except the word becoming. Let us be honest, Mister Schumacher has managed a number of tactical accidents over the years to succeed in his championship titles. This was tolerated because he was a competitive, great driver.

Now he is no longer in that position his character is rather more exposed. Barrichello was, after passing his old team mate, several seconds faster even in the closing stages of the race. It was the most cynical and dangerous move that Schumacher has done for a while - the old "be careful or you may have an "accident".

He should have never come back. What really does he have to prove ?

Audi offered him £ 7ml to race in the DTM.

He should have taken it and just walked away from F1.

It was disgraceful; he should at least be suspended for the rest of the season.
If he'd been caught doing that off the track he'd have been arrested.

as other drivers. He was always bashing people around. How many times did his Benetton run into Senna? How did we tolerate his attack on Damon Hill that gave Schumacher the title? He almost did it again to Jaques Villneuve, which would have again secured a title for the aggressive German.

I pretty much agree with all of the above.

Schumacher is a has-been, should retire graciously and go make £££s in an other series. Take those demons with him and avoid any more harm to his legacy.

+1 to all of the above. I was a big fan of the guy. He should have recieved a black flag, as Rubens yelled during the race, and suspended for several races.

It's one thing to protect your position but it's a completely different situation where you would rather kill a guy than let him rightfully pass.
