My SV doesn't wanna run with the spec gap of 020. I have to get it down to about 010. I installed new points and condensor and reset the timing. All other electrics work very well. Bike runs beautifully, just as long as it has this tiny gap.

I'm thinking of replacing the coil - I don't know what else it could be.
Any ideas?

purplish-blue; mostly blue or blueish-white

No extra condensor yet.

thats sound right, but why change coil? u only need to change it if ur spark are red or tiny blue

ps: u might consider change ur magnet fan rather then a coil

No, no, no! 'What The? emoticon'
The spark is the same whether .020 gap or .010 gap. But bike won't run with .020 gap. What is going on? Goofy emoticon

i once saw the same problems with my friend SV so i know well its the magnet fan has losing it performance so u need to shorten the gap in ur spark plug to make it running

ps: but me no expert maybe other have better opinion then me

Ah, I see where you're coming from. I will have to see if I can improve the magnetism of the fan. Or maybe get a new one. Is it possible?
Hmmm....

Motorsport in San Diego (whale's vagina) can recharge the magnetism in your flywheel for a reasonable fee, if that is the issue.

If your lights burn okay, the magnets should be okay. There is only one ignition coil on the stator, the one with wires to the points, condensor, and external coil.

If any of the wires on the ignition stator coil or going to the external coil have poor insulation, the fairly high voltage pulses to the coil can be lowered by leakage through the insulation to ground. P's are notorious for crumbly, corroded green wires.

It's possible for the varnish insulation on the ignition stator coil to break down, but not probable. I had a weak spark problem once that was the shiny new ignition coil on a restore that was really weak compared to three old originals.

Good luck.
