I got new shocks, But they are on the lowest setting,
I tried to adjust them myself but I can't get the tool to attach to the shock.

Anyone had any success in adjusting rear shocks on a GTS 250?
They are brand new YSS shocks with a 4 step adjustment.

I'd like to change them up to a stiffer rebound setting,
It's getting too soft on the highway on the lowest setting.

I'm taking it in on Saturday to get the fluids changed,
Not sure if I should just wait until then and have the mechanic adjust them for me.

On a previous visit on Saturday he said that parts would have to come off to adjust them,
Air filter, Exhaust, Crash bars etc.

Maybe I should just get them uninstalled and reinstalled at the correct setting.

OK, Looks like I'll have to wait until Saturday,
I think I'll just get the mechanic to uninstall the shocks,
Adjust them to the setting I want and then reinstall them.

No sense in removing body parts.

Take out the pet container and do it from above.

Waaaaaay easier than lounging on the garage floor trying to do it from below.

The tool in your tool kit will work too - and if you can't get a good angle, stack the tools and try that.

Thank you very much, That worked perfectly,
So well in fact that I'm going to tell my mechanic.

What a difference it made, I adjusted it on my lunch break,
When I left work and got on the highway I really noticed the difference,
The off ramps were so much easier to corner on with stiffer suspension.

Thanks again, Great advice.

Dave
