Just to let you know how balanced our MP3's are, I just going down the highway and I felt a little wiggle in my back tire. It got a little worst so I pulled safely over and out of the way of traffic and checked out the tire and the valve monitor (red for low air, green for OK) that I had installed that morning had split in half and blown off and of course it let all the air out of the tire. Called hubby and he brought me air and I filled it up and went on my way. Folks, we have a very stable bike and of course I want to thank my Lord and Savior for keeping me safe.

And another lesson learned. DO NOT use valve stem pressure monitors on scooters. They tend to fail just like yours has done.

good to hear all went well . now get rid of those tire monitor thingys, and just use regular valve caps. Those monitor things are not that accurate anyway for scoots. Just check the tires once a week with a regular gauge.

+1 - this has been debated several times I think the message is clear for me at least - they're junk novelties.

AGREED they failed the first week on me also. FYI Tire Flys will break on the rear tire but they work on the fronts. Batteries are cheap at the dollar store.

valve cap
I did have the caps that I took off and that was the second thing I did after I took the two off of my front tires. Never again.

There are right ups on how unsafe those air pressure caps are. I would never use one on my car, non the less a bike.

I hope you meant "mph", and not mpg.
