Different shape, though - I tried on a Schuberth and it wasn't comfortable at all, so I was surprised the BMW one fit so well.

Both Schuberth and BMW work out expensive.
Not only work out expensive but it appears that one of the new versions, the C3 offers less protection than previous versions for that high cost....700USD!!!!

No one mentioned the Vemar Jiano.

I have owned one for a year now and would buy another in a heartbeat if I had to replace the current one.

has everything you listed, modular, quick click strap, drop down sun visor, good ventilation.

I think it is reasonably quiet and goes for $275:

Removable liner for washing, tends to an "oval" shaped head.

My local shop, The Scoot Shop carries them in stock, not sure how hard they are to find elsewhere.

BMW systems helmet tragic - now on a Systems 5 (have had Systems 1,2,3, 4 and 4 Evo so far ... ) I replace my helmets at 4-5 years (or more often) to keep 'em safe (the foam out-gases, meaing they a. get loose and b. absorb less energy on impact)

My spectacles cost so much more than any helmet (thanks to a complex script and need for high-end lenses) so I only look at flip helmets.

BMW aren't bring the systems 6 into Australia so I'm thinking of getting one via http://www.designerhelmets.com/ (but the problem here is a helmet without the australia Standard sticker voids my insurance) .. and looking for Nolan N102 / N103 (not in Australia yet) ..

My everyday scoot helmet is a Nolan N41 ... classic look to suit the GTS and good coverage for a 3/4 helmet. Also quite light and very comfy on my head. I wouldn't do a long ride with it, in parge part becasue a full-face flip helmet is less tring at open-road speed.

I'm wondering if the N43 AIR is a better choice .. full-face on the road, open face around town .. anyone here use one???
