Hi All, Newbie here

I'm thinking about, well I am going to buy, a new LX125. However, I have a couple of questions about a deal they are doing at my local Fowlers Motorcycles.

They currently have in stock a 2008 model, unregistered in silver that is available for £2399. This is about a £550 saving, which I think is pretty good.

However, I have some reservations about it being a 2008 model. What are the differences, will the 2 year warranty still be available or am I better off getting a newer model? Ideally I'd like the midnight blue model, so that's also a bit of a potential issue

Any help you can offer, much appreciated!

Get a new one. Aim for a £200 to £250 discount. Make sure you get an ie model. Better still get a GTS125ie Super.

Waiting for a 60 plate would seem sensible GTS is half as heavy again as an LX so if you want light and flickable go for an LXie. If you want stable and more power go GTSie. It has maximum legal power for a learner, the LX is way under. You can also use the GTS to do a full test later on.
