I have 2 scoots in my Garage that belong to my Aunt(I have the option to purchase 1 or both). Both have not been run in 7 years.....need to clean out the tanks, rebuild the carbs, batteries, prob change out the coils, wire and plug as well. Both scoots have around 3k miles and are in pretty good shape. I'm new 2 scoots but have done much work on jet ski's and vespa engines look pretty simple. If I do sell a scoot for my Aunt what do these go for. I'm goin to keep at least 1 for sure and will keep both if the wife makes up her mind if she want to ride.

p.s. both engines haave been upgraded to 150's

Thanks for your time

Aaron

keep them both. they look damn nice. you'll have fun learning how to tinker on them. plenty of info here and on these two sites

http://www.scooterhelp.com/

http://vespamaintenance.com/

Looks like the red one is missing the fuel tap lever. Have fun fixing them up and riding with the wife and then sell or trade when you decided you would like a different model.

cheers

Wouldn't bother cleaning the tanks as there is very little chance of any debris getting in and would just remove the jets and give them a blow through. As the other guy says I would keep them both, once you start riding them you become part of the great scooter scene and I'm sure you will be suprised how many random people just stop and talk to you about your scooter. I live in Cambridge UK and almost daily some one comments on my Rally, but then again she is beautiful

I don't think you should sell them, they are beautiful. But if ya did, I'd make a rough estimate that they're each worth a solid $2K. Maybe a little more if you're patient.

Enjoy!

The condition of the bikes should fetch a higher price than that. I'm gonna say $2,800 to $3,200 each.

They look like nobody's fussed with them, which is great. Keep them and give them each a tuneup, if you can swing it.

in nashville they would fetch about 2500 to 3000, i would have to go with the recommendations to keep em though.

i and most of this board will be a little biased though.

we love these things.

I hate to be a downer, but they both have been touched a bit. Both bikes have been repainted. Take a quick look under the floormat on the blue one. Look (tap) for bondo and look for rust fromunda.

Both bikes were repainted 10 years ago at a cost of $1000 per bike. I think with a little elbow grease and a few $ they will turn out pretty nice.

If you get rid of either on of them you just may regret it. Keep them both. It'll be good to pass them off to your young un. Eh.

I say keep them both. Looks like you got an interested party right there-even if he won't be able to ride for another 12 years. Seriously, it's nice to have another scooter hanging around for your friends to go riding with you. I'm from Kalamazoo originally and I know the Holland/GH area well. Perfect for scooter riding.

Seems to me that you should keep both scoots together, since they match and all. However, if you have to pick one... the red one appears to be in slightly better condition. Regardless, it seems like it's a win-win situation for you!

Well I have been tinkering with the scoots for a few weeks. The tanks have been blasted, coated on tyhe inside and primered on the outside. I need to order $500ish in parts to finish up. I'm going to buykeep both scoots and will post pics as I work on the scoots.
