I was wondering if anybody has any idea how to park your scoot in the handicapped parking without getting your place card stolen? I'm handicapped, because I can't walk to far from the parking to the store & I do have a place card but I'm affraid of getting it stolen.
This plate permits qualified applicants to park their vehicle or a vehicle in which they are a passenger in designated disability parking spaces.
Available For: Passenger cars, trucks that do not exceed 16,000 pounds empty weight, motor homes, motorcycles.
Put the "hook" part in the pet carrier with the number etc hanging out and then shut the seat. That should keep it in thee. Just fiddle with until you can't just pull it out. Like IFIXJETS says you can always get a plate but finding the "sweet" spot should be easier. Good luck.
...not sure if you want to use it in a cage too -- but if I have to pay and display a ticket or permit on the Vespa I write across it in pen or marker in large capitals: "Motorcycle LV07 VPY" so that it would not be much use to a cager unless they have a hide of an elephant -- have never had a problem....
One of our group has a disabled sticker for her scoots and has taped it on using clear tape that she'll remove the residue of whenever she completely recovers from her leg-knee injury. She's still using a cane to walk but has mostly graduated from using her walker.
For awhile after her accident she was riding a borrowed Helix with an insta trike kit and using a bicycle mount to hold her wheelchair. Now that's a dedicated scooter rider!
Even if you placed one half of the card inside a cover and then punch holes in the placard to run the security wires thru the holder and placard proper.
