I would like to take a rode trip on the scoot this weekend. I have a Lx150 that I've put 1200ish miles on. I am wondering if it can handle a 300 mile drive. Going to take country roads not interstate so it won't be at full throttle the whole way but it will be at full throttle for most of the time . It's only had the dealer recommend first oil change so I had better change that first. Any other advice?

As long as it it running well and it has fresh oil it will do 300 miles easily. A lot of folks have done almost 300 miles a day for days on end.
The longest trip I have made on mine is 400 miles in two days. No problems and the scooter seemed to run better as the trip went on.

You'll be fine (but, yes, tired by the end of the day). I would figure on eight hours or perhaps even more (with several pit stops including at least one for a meal). I just completed a 200+ mile ride over back roads, country roads, low mountains, side roads, and 55mph roads. My ET4 (150) loved it as much as I did. See What I learned...

Aloha and welcome to the forum. Sounds like fun. Make sure you stop frequently to rehydrate yourself and stretch. Fatigue sets in and can be dangerous. When fatigued you lose your concentration which is not a good thing. I live on an island but halfway around i stop get something to drink, take pictures etc for 5-10 minutes. I find it works, When we do a group ride we stop for a little bit longer. Have fun.

I LOVE taking long trips on my LX-150!
And I agree with Jagony, it does seem to run smoother after it's been going for a while.
Have fun!
