There are articles in the forum's Projects section about installing turn signal beepers. I put one on my last motorcycle and found it a bit annoying at times, and difficult to hear over heavy city traffic and wind noise. Have any of you mounted a single LED on one of the windshield uprights? Seems to me that would be a clean installation, easy to wire up to the dash indicator, and more efficient than a piezo buzzer.
That would be an easy thing to do. It would be electrically identical to the beeper install, except the beeper would be substituted by an LED and limiting resistor.
I've been planing to do this. I had a Stella that had a beeper. Could not hear it with FF on. I already have the lights. Small stick-on LEDs that I plan to put just above the uprights. I decided that it would probably easier to wire them into the lights in the legshield rather than the gauge cluster. The lights might also be more visible to other people like the lights in some outside rear view mirrors.
