I'd like to add some more chrome to Luigi, the best LXV ever made <g>...

My hubby would like to know...if I add the rear chrome crash bar, how does one then get to the air filter???

thanks!

Umm. Just added the rear crash bars to mine tonight

Have to ponder that one.

Incidentally, fitting was not without issue. Will post once I've recovered

If you are using the Vespa brand crash-bars there is no issue getting to the air filter.

I have the Vespa Crash bars and so far I've had no issues,
I love the way they look, Glad I got them on sale when I got them.

Had the LOGO scooter bars before,
But the Vespa bars are way better.

I have the faco bars. You simply remove them. Not a long or hard project once you know what to do.

Hi Betsey

Loving mine, although not the installation Laughing emoticon

Fitted Vespa rear crash bars on my LXV

I can see that with the Vespa bars, accessing the air filter wouldn't be a problem.

I've got the Faco legshield and cowl protectors on my ET4. They were easy to install and, even though you have to remove the rear ones to get to the air filter, I like the design better than the Vespa ones on the ET. I haven't taken them off to clean my filter but it's really only a matter of two bolts.

PS. Shiny is good!

Hi Betsey

We shiny fans should stick together Laughing emoticon

Some folks don't like it, but each to their own I say.

The front fender guard is literally a 10 minute job. It's function is more decorative than practical, as the fender/mudguard it's attached to is plastic anyway.

But I put one on mine, along with a fender crest from an S (they now come with one). As I was drilling the mudguard for the fender screws, I took the wheel off anyway, but I don't that you'd need to do that just for the guard.

Thread and pics here:

Mike-
i know the front fender guard is just for looks....you know, uhm...i like the shiney!

I do like how you've blinged your LXV...since mine is the same color-it's kinda like getting to try a new hairstyle first!
