I'm insured with State Farm Mutual. The rates are reasonable if you are already insured with them (car, home, umbrella).

Progressive here. I got a good settlement when my scoot got totaled recently. Be sure to get coverage for your accessories, that accounted for half of my settlement.

In Oregon also. Good rate and service through State Farm. Also have my car with them. Most companies do a multiple policy discount.
(remember that it is tough to compare actual rate - that is a function of your age, driving record, location, and a bunch of other things that vary from person to person) |

I went with Progressive, too. I haven't had to use it so I can't comment on how easy it is to file and settle a claim. I was impressed with how easy it was to do and the price certainly seemed reasonable for a good bit of coverage.

Looks like I'm going with Geico.
I used them for my car, and had a claim that they were very easy to handle with. Price was about the same as Progressive. Thanks for the feedback. |

I got a quote from Progressive but when I had questions about coverage I realized that having a real person to get advice from matters a lot. The coverages I chose were not really what I needed-but no one could tell me that. I ended up staying with State Farm. The real advice from a person I can drop in to see if need be does make a difference. Plus State Farm was only $14 more per year for 12x the liability coverage and a lower deductible for comprehensive and collision.
It never dawned on me (until they pointed ot out) that with Progressive I choose my own coverage. So, if I was underinsured, didn't get the right coverage, etc. It would be my fault. With State Farm (or similar) a local agent advises me on proper coverages. If there is a oversight in some way- I've got recourse. This is HUGE considering the hundreds fof thousands of dollars on the line. You cannot be too careful with insurance. |

+1 on GEICO. I had them in CA, they were less than half of what progressive
wanted. And when I had my crash, I was glad I had chosen GEICO. Smooth, no delays, helpful service. It was my fault, but the rate only went up by $18 the next year. Very fair. They don't have a presence in UT, so I had to change. Both mine and my wife's GTS are now insured with... |

I just had a car totaled with GEICO, and it has been a pleasure working with them on the claims; so I'm going to stik with them on the moto insurance too.
