I agree!

Great sales pitch. This is what people in America need to see. Something like that coupled with some video and interview with real riders would help.

Thanks for posting that! The site has many other good videos, too, including reviews and hints.

Great find!

I love those models on the shelf behind him at about 5:30 into the program.

I think some of the claims are a bit dubious - increased safety because your feet are less exposed? Chain lube going everywhere (hasn't happened to me yet despite being a bit over zealous on the chain lube chore)? I like the concept of the video however and think more people should consider scooters when commuting to work. It makes a ton of sense and there are so many options for the kind of commute that you experience on a regular basis. I look forward to getting back on a scoot this fall and winter )

My mate who was T boned on a scooter would beg to differ, his leg was bruised but not hurt, had he been on a motor cycle it's likely his knee would have been destroyed and/or leg broken... he rides a motorbike now and can't imagine what it would have been like if he had have been riding the bike when it happened.

Great post!

All true, I love my MC but the scoot is waaaaaayyyyy more practical.

I love to tell my MC riding friends that their bikes in comparison to my scoot are crude and unrefined Laughing emoticon

The scoot is just more civilized for around town and such.

The MC however is much better for long trips...The Vrod is soooo quiet compared to the scoot. There is hardly any wind noise. The scoot is extremly noisy at speed due to the more upright position I suppose.

Argh! You are right - I was in denial I guess. I always think of the T-bone as you hitting the side of a car rather then them hitting your side.

Even in a standard drop, it seems like it would be much easier for your leg to get pinned/crushed under the bike on a standard MC, especially if you lowside.
