Im alright but the bike isnt, the top case latch is goners!!! no way that can be fixed for sure. im not even mad abt the paint work thats easy fix. anybody knows where to get a replacement latch ?? pictures soon.

basically im on the second outter most lane turning right, the first lane next to me is a right turning lane too. the car on the on the first lane ploughed into me wanting to go straight. dang!!!

Trax, I know it's a pisser about the bike damage, but be thankful you came out alright. Seriously, every week we get postings of scooter deaths. Glad you're alright.

im really thankful that even my pillion is okay too scrapes and bruises. now what do i do with the broken latch ? any fix ?

Hi Trax , sorry to hear about your incident. Glad u are alright though. Ya .. some local drivers are real idiots. There is this one junction at King Albert Park that is really a hot spot for this type of incident. Did u manage to grab hold of the driver to make a claim ?

So sad to see an injured scooter (and riders). Is your/their insurance going to pony up for the damages? Glad the flags not flying at half mast

Yeap I got all the things needed for a claim. I sure hope the local shops can help me out with the latch.

With 2 lines turning right or left that always happens. There is always this one driver that wonders off from their lane.

Interesting that your priority is backward from what mine would be if that happened here. I'd be looking at thousands of dollars in body and paint work - and very few reliable shops that do this kind of work on scooters. The latch on the other hand - I'd just order the broken part(s). I presume, in your case, body and paint work is inexpensive while new parts are difficult to obtain. Aren't parts available as "take offs" from damaged or totaled scooters?

I had similar thoughts. Why bother about that latch? Aren't you insured, or won't the opponent's insurance cover your damage? If they can't find a replacement latch, you are owed a complete new top box, period.
