Very excited, pick it up today. I actually test drove it yesterday and what a difference from my carb LX50. I will miss Picante - my red scoot!

Here is a photo of my old Picante - red and new Azul - Blue

Congratulations Wade, on the first Vespa sold at Vespa Toronto AKA BMW Toronto! And welcome to Modern Vespa, I was wondering how long it would take for you to sign on here. Have a great day riding your new LX 150 ie, the first sold in Toronto when you pick it up this afternoon.

tx just at the dealer now. I think Azul is the front runner, meaning blue in Spanish and I believe Italian as well, don't quote me on the Italian though

Oops, my dementia is showing.

It was nice seeing you today and seeing you ride your new LX 150 ie. That new dealership is awesome. The Vespas all have a third floor view of the downtown landscape, totally unobstructed. Wade took delivery of his LX on the third floor inside the dealership and was able to inspect it there. Well, actually, Michael and I inspected it for him. I think he was too excited about the whole thing to inspect it closely, that's what friends are for, no?

I would be curious about the feel of the fuel injected vs carbed 150 - we are waiting to get his/her LX and S 150s (S for me, LX for her), and are not sure if we want to save up for the ie or not.

Well, I have never ridden a carb 150, but I had a 50 and I must say the acelerration is much smoother. Apparently the IE model is a bit faster off the start. I have been riding for about three hours around our wonderful city and loved every moment of it.

Benny and Michael, you guys were great, thanks for sharing the "moment" with me. I'm with you Benny, that dealership is something else!!! The views are amazing from the Vespa showroom. I'll take a photo and post later for those of you who are not in the Toronto area.

Here is the hyperlink to their site, it has a photo of the building...you can see the city in the image as well.

Thanks again guys. Now I really have to get serious about protective gear

Just a quick note on the LX150ie. I picked mine up about three weeks ago
(a gift from my wife... she's the best!) Mine is the two tone bronze and I
couldn't be happier with the color. My purchase was from Ken's in Kaukauna
WI. They were great to deal with. I held out for the fuel injection vs. carb
model and am glad I did. When the engine is cold, there may be a slight
hesitation for a few seconds. After that, the response is instant acceleration.
The LX150ie is a great machine and a joy to ride

Hilarious! Seriously hilarious!

I'm off for a ride to Oakville today. So, my butt will probably be as blue as Azul Razz emoticon

BTW I have been meaning to ask a question
I am curious how long you can ride the LX150 IE at maximum throttle? I have no idea if that is good for the scooter or not.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well last week i did a 200 mile ride from Mtl to Burlington VT.. flat out... the vespa handled it well even though it was crying most of the time .. and i swear i watched the rear tire melt away ... other than that it was good ...
