I'm wondering if new, stiffer shocks will make my ride seem less squirrely. I'm kinda all over the place when I hit a bump. Pretty scary at high speeds.
Do I need new shocks?

getting lots of bounce, bottoming out, or lots of movement side to side like the rear end is coming out from under you?

A new set of stock shocks should stiffen you up (ha!)
Also, could be worn out motor mounts - the Clauss Studios ones are supposed to tighten up your ride. |

How many miles on your ride? New mounts really make a difference if you've been bouncing around on smoochy rubber. As far as the Claus mounts go I've heard stock mounts are as good. The Claus are really stiff. I had a choice to go with those or stock I choose stock for my Rally.

new silent rubbers and stiffer shocks will do just fine.
but new rubbers are a must. my rear wheel bended to the right and rubs against the shock due to cracked right silent rubber. |

Hello
Silent Block usually means a rubber block sandwiched between steel, put your bike on the stand and lift the rear end if the engine stays on the floor supect the block has seperated or the shock has come unscrewed. This is a common occurence with the rear shock and is an easy fix. I have seen bikes where the block has seperated still being ridden. Grumpy |

The Clauss mount gives you a much better ride, it took the lateral motion totally out of a P series scoot I had. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
