OK here's the question>>>>
I have heard that the PM Pipe bangs the rear crash bars and/ or the rear plastic....

hjave you given it a good bouncy run to see if there are any issues?
Cheers,

You have heard correctly. I have my shocks set at maximum pre-load. I weigh about 210 pounds. I try to be careful on bumps. It didn't work. I have a fairly deep dent on top of the pipe from just normal riding. It can't be avoided. It happened on the highway on a section of road with some mild dips. I'm going working on a way to hide the dent and I'll post pics as soon as I get it done. I accept this flaw in the pipe. It looks so good and sounds so good I don't mind the dent. It happened on my GT with the PM62 pipe as well. I think I can find a pic of what I did back then. If I can I'll post it up on MV.

It also happened on my LV pipe....just barely scratched the end of the pipe and no dent but it did hit the crash bar.

I figure that I will have to remove the crash bars in favor of the PM Pipe.
But also I am thinking that I could trim up the plastic in a crescent shape in order to accomodate the pipe's upward intrusion...do you think it's doable??

No doubt. I just really like my crash bars and didn't want to have to give them up.
