It could be the carb though I'd say it's more likely to be a rotted fuel hose.
Take the under seat storage out and dry off everything down there (make sure it's not hot ) and leave it over night. In the morning check and see what's covered in gas.

Hope it's an easy fix.

Even tho things have low mileage you still have to remember to check and change stuff. My LX doesn't get ridden as much because i'm traveling half the year and i'm on an island plus i'm retired. So i revert to the miles vs years stuff on everything. Example was my brake fluid i didn't have the miles but it needs to be changed every couple of years. I should check my hoses since things rot here more quickly. My LT needs new tires, at 5k their still good but the sides are starting to get dry rot which won't be fun if they blow when i'm riding it Good luck

Are you sure it is gas and not oil? A quarter-sized puddle of gas will evaporate in a minute or two so a puddle like that after sitting all night would mean quite a bit of gas had probably leaked. A small oil puddle on the other hand, would only require a few drops. If it might be oil, give a good check around the oil reservoir and the gearbox.
