HI
My Sito plus arrived this week and Ive just taken off the original vespa exhaust, from my 2005 Px125. Where the main pipe connects to the engine, theres another narrower pipe that comes out of the original exhaust, near the top of the exhaust connection and connects via a rubber hose to another pipe that goes to a little black box mounted on the top side of the engine. I assume its something to do with with the catalyser in the exhaust .

The sito plus doesnt have a this pipe so Im wondering how to fit it. Can I just remove remove the bit of pipe that comes out down from the box on the engine and ignore it or do I need different sito exhaust with that pipe on it?

thanks in advance

Matt

Just fit the sito plus & block the rubber pipe off with a bolt
Would also be good to fit a slightly bigger main jet 2 sizes up , So if yours is 98 then fit a 100

Thanks for the reply,

Thats what I hoped. Do you know what that pipe does, just out of interest.

Cheers, Matt

In simplest terms, it feeds air into the exhaust to assist in reducing pollutants. Totally irrelevant with the non-catalyzed Sito. The entire assembly can be removed.

Because the stock exhausts are so restrictive on those, we usually recommend going up 4 points for a Sito Plus from a 98 to a 102.
