And the parts required to do it:

You need parts

9 Radiator Conveyor 655794 £7.05
10 Radiator Grid 655793 £9.32
12 Radiator Grid Frame £26.14

You'll also need a couple of spring screw retainers (those flat clips that a screw goes through, 14) and about six small philips Piaggio screws, 13.

No painting required. This uses the original front end shield and is not quite the same as the facelift model but looks good....

(You'd also have to buy part number 15 and 21 to do the full conversion, which I haven't done here), and these bits are really expensive....

To remove the grille there are 8 screws you have to remove. Two at the top of the original grille. Two large screws with spacers that screw into the radiator support, directly under the radiator behind the shield. Two screws that secure the indicator units to the front shield. Two screws (with gold coloured washers at top corners of shield accessed from behind close to the previous indicator screws.

If you are feeling even more adventurous, like I did, you can add the MP3 500 auxiliary light. This is actually very cheap (in the UK at least), and is fitted to the LT as standard, which isn't available in the US.

You'll need part number

10 655810 Light support £3.83
7 294433 Tail Light (it isn't a tail light, but this is what Piaggio call it!) £5.10

To install these you'll have to get the craft knife and dremel out, but it is relatively easy.... You can see the light beneath the grille. You'll need to tap into the black and yellow wires in the haedlight connector which is visible beneath the headlight when you take the shield off.

All done for less than £50 or $75 probably twice that knowing Piaggio prices in the US..

What year and size mp3 did you do that to?
I'd do that to mine but it's up for sale now. Trying for a 500.
