Those are perfect Dave! In fact, I'm thinking perhaps I can attach one on each side by modifying two sidecars of some kind. Hmm, I guess I can go ahead and replace the engine too. Jets even. The REAL New York Jets.

These look really nice. The only place I found them was on ebay and the largest size was only good up to 200 cc. |

Inlet diameter too small
I did see those parts, but I'm not sure it would be a huge improvement over the stock airbox because of the size.

ive always been a fan of K&N but im a little worried with british weather that it might be a bit exposed to the rain.
Be careful with the ebay filters! they might look good but they dont filter all that well! |

I've ridden with mine in heavy rain and flooded streets. No problem. Key is to provide some level of protection to prevent water from directly hitting filter. Stock filter will take on water riding through water.

My apologies if I missed it, but what did you guys do with the thin hose that goes from the "front end" of the air box to the front of the bike? Cap it at the other end? The hose is seen in this vid:

I think they ended up capping it with a breather filter of some sort or another, but a lot of people are going with the stock airbox mod that Ponydrvr posted about a while back.
As a side note, the clutch bell from that video is loose and that blueing you see around it is a good indicator. The retainer nut has backed off and the clutch is grinding away at the belt during idle. |

And if I do, I need some sort of filter in its place while it's being modded. I plan to compare the two and decide which one to stick with. |

The turn around should be quick, with the main delay being shipping time. |

![]() With regards to the resting postion of the intake on the swingarm, would it be unwise to zip-tie the intake to the loop the foam is sitting on, as it will tug at the intake as it rebound? edit: I'm guessing not since the OEM air box was hard attached to the swing arm? |
