We just picked this up today and it's got to be the earliest vespa
I have ever seen in person. It has Aluminum cowls, front fender and horn cast is aluminum also. Wierd stuff, like the brake pedal and the engine shock. Im hoping there is somebody out there that can tell us more about the bike. It looks like it had the earlier allstate badge? since there is no holes in the legshield for the common badge. finally found some info on another 788-101 52' allstate.
Brand: Sears Allstate Model: VA2T Country: United States Year: 1951/52 Displacement: 125 cc Höchstgechwindigkeit: 80 km / h Owners: Johnny (Florida) Color: John Deere green Notes: THE U-PROVISIONAL absolutely! Vespa Allstate purchased in December 2007 in this state in Florida. Softrestauration until winter 2008. Swiss papers. One of the first Vespa's were produced for Sears. Allstate's with red / blue emblems are said to be that they are among the first 1000 wuden selling overseas, after that was the emblem on the right side plate (outline of North America and in the middle of Allstate). VESPA PRODUCTION BUT NO LICENSE IS Allstate 100% fatto IN ITALIA.
