I am looking for help in resolving this issue. My bike will not start and I think that it is the immobiliser. I have checked the kill switch and that was fine, I also tried reprogramming with the brown kill but this did not work. The red led light constantly flashes even when the brown key is in the on position. The blue key will not turn to the on position at all, even when I tried to reprogram it. The bike will not start at all, it does nothing.

When was the last time you rode the scooter? Has the battery been on a tender so you know it's fully charged? When you say it does nothing, do you mean when you press the start button that the starter motor won't even attempt to start the engine? It almost sounds to me like you have a dead (flat) battery.

Thanks
I just had it out for a run last night and everything was running fine. I did use the brown key to run it as the blue key would not go to the on position. If it was the battery, then would the red led light and clock not work. I do not have any lights working now though

Re: Thanks
No lights tells me you may either have a fuse out or it could be the battery. It takes almost no juice to run the immobilizer and make the led flash. Lights and start motor on the other hand need a lot of battery power. If you can remove the battery, take it to your local autoparts store and they can test it for you. But first check the fuses. If you find one that is blown, make sure you replace it with the same size fuse. Your local autoparts store will have the fuses if you need them. The fuses on the ET4 are located under the seat near the battery and under the left "kneepad" above the glove box. Open the glove box, remove one screw and the kneepad will come off exposing the fuse.
The left kneepad is circled and the red arrow shows where to find the screw to remove the kneepad once the glovebox is open. ![]() |

Hi Ihave gotten my battery checked and it is fine, I have also checked the fuses and they are good too. When I turn the brown key to on, it does nothing---no power at all. Any other suggestions?

My next step would be to remove the horn cover and make sure the wiring harness hasn't come disconnected from the ignition switch. Not likely, but easy to check. If it's connected, disconnect it and use a multi-meter to start testing the ignition switch to make sure when it's in the "on" position you are getting continuity between the correct terminals. After that, start removing the glove box and floor boards so you can gain access to the the wiring harness. You'll need to start tracing wires to determine where the failure is. Electrical problems are always a joy.

Thanks for your help. You were right, the clip for the wiring to the ignition was loose and not making a connection. I took your advice and followed the wiring and now I am back riding. I appreciate all your help!!!
