I was taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course a while back and we were watching the final video about safe riding; it was the culmination of everything in the class. In the video there's a bunch of stereotypical bikers on different bikes riding a winding road, but the head honcho is riding this giant HD road king with all the shit, he's always in front- the dominant figure of safe and responsible riding- the embodiment of safety and the archetype of everything the class stands for. ANYWAY, as he rides past the camera i was like "WTF that dude is wearing UGGs!!?" so the instructor rewinds the tape and surenuff, big dog is wearing some fricking UGGs. The whole video is blown, our role model is dead, and i've been riding dangerously ever since, and they're in the process of remaking the video sans the sheepy slip-ons.

I have two pairs of Harley Davidson boots: http://www.harleydavidsonboot.com/lahadaribo.html And a pair of pink sketchers hiking boots that are unbelievably sturdy. Not the most comfortable, but I have been wearing them for years. I can't even find a photo of them online, they are so old! |

Usually with tracksuit pants with frayed heels while puffing on a cigarette and yelling at their ratty kids as they stand in line for a carton of beer. There are all kinds of Ugg boot jokes. Spoils it badly. You get ribbed if you wear them. That said I went to the website link and was very impressed with the male harness strap brown boot. Looks nothing like an Ugg and I think I can get away with that. By the way dont bother to lecture me about worrying what other people think. I think the same. You can only see so many dirtbags doing something before it is ruined for you. Is there a US or Brit trailer trash (bogan) footwear? Gotta love the bogans - they always make me feel so much better about myself. 8) |
