Usually I'm one of a horde of two-wheelers in London subject to the usual prejudices of other road users, yet yesterday on a 280 mile round trip in one day I had nothing but courtesy whether filtering the non-moving holiday traffic on the M3 or negotiating single track country roads in heavy rain. Other bikers waved and people in cars smiled as I passed them or they passed me...it was wonderful, perhaps a scooter in their midsts just made them curious...or sympathetic Whatever, it was a great trip, the GT ran like a dream used only £16 worth of petrol and I'm gonna do it again real soon.
signed, confused but happy of London
p.s. surprised to not ache more this morning.
