Modern Vespa

I was on my way home this morning, stuck at a very long red light. All of the sudden I heard this odd sound on the ground about two feet from my right leg. I looked down to see a rather large bird dropping. I then looked up to see many large birds perched on a wire directly above my head. Of course, the car behind me got right on my own tail so I couldn't back up.

I've been told that if you are hit with a bird dropping it's supposed to be good luck. If that is true, then I think it's even better luck to be nearly hit with a bird dropping. Maybe they spared me because of the parrot decals on my scoot.

Thought this would give everyone a chuckle on a Monday. Have a great week and ride safe (especially under bird infested wires).

You would've thought huh. Of course, it's the one 6 lane intersection in my commute so I was too focused on the not-yet-awake cagers. I think the birds like hanging out there to hit as many cars as possible.

Coming home the other day there were 6 buzzards perched on the top of road sign. Now that on a wire would really be nasty.

If you get hit on the shoulder by a bird dropping, it's good luck; you're lucky it didn't hit you on the head.

I learned the hard way, pelicans evacuate before diving and their stinky grey poo.. stains clothes... That was an interesting overnight in that anchorage to wake up with all my laundry on the life line around the boat, annihilated. Then trying to wash them off the back of the sailboat, got crapped on myself. I just waited until we pulled into the next island. There was no winning this war.
