I did it.
My Blk. 07 GTS 250ie went over in my gravel driveway. It sucked flipped out on my roommate because she was parked next to it, but I found out later it rain two inches that night. I felt like a jerk oh well sold it on MV a week later didn't want to deal with a painted scoot.

yep i have last year when i was 16, had owned my 50 for about 3 months, and the way it happened was rather embarassing lol.
At school bicycles and scooters and parked in a lane that goes up beside the school, and i was leaving just before lunch so noone was around (luckily), i was turning the scooter round in the lane (using the engine) so i could leave, and going at about 1 mph i rode onto some wet leaves (which id never experienced before or been warned about), went to floor it down the lane and the front went from beneath me faster than you can blink! but i had my feet out coz i was going so slowly and turning around, so when the scoot went over i landed on my feet, and it landed on its side, only damage was to my pride and a scratch on the footplate and mirror. and even just that little accident clicked the sensible part of my brain into gear! But iv still had plenty of near misses with locking the brakes, people pulling out infront of me without looking, feeling the back end twitch on a roundabout that cambers the wrong way, going too quickly round a bend and ending up on the white line in the middle of the road, but i have only been on the road for over a year, and think of myself as a sensible rider but i expect there are many more accidents to come! but you have to embrace that fact lol ![]() |

I haven't turned my body into a form a road pizza yet. I put about 4k this last three months. I am ALWAYs trying to look out. I did have a semi truck try to wipe me out, but I didn't over react and he saw me. I do think there is a simple skill involved......PAY CONSTANT ATTENTION.
I ride in ran, snow, etc... This morning I drove about 65 miles to work from up Payson Canyon to Orem, Utah and drove a lot on the freeway. -Carson- |

four times.
twice in my first month of riding. both times at walking pace the third time, i was hit by a driver who pulled out alongside me in a crowded intersection without looking. that one was annoying because my new GT200 was only 10 days old at the time the last time, i was riding 'at speeds in excess of optimum for the conditions' or something along those lines .... a mud/gravel road in Cornwall, blind corner, a bit too much speed ... you do the math ![]() |

Me too
I've dropped the damn thing on myself three times over the past year. All while parking or trying to get the scoot off of the center stand. Each time I was unfathomably stupid.
Only once did I damage the scooter when I did it. |

Sometime u just gotta take it.
First week i had mine i was practicing making really small circles with the handle bars locked all the way over. Started to tip inside, but i was in such a small area i couldn't throttle out of it, so i had to put my foot down, BUT i was wearing Sperry's, and the edge of my sole snagged on one of the ridges in the floorboard. it only delayed my foot coming down by like a half second, but it was long enough that i just had to take it on the shoulder. Hit the ground in my riding position, didn't even let go of the bars. Prolly looked like i didn't even try to save it; but in my parking garage, nobody saw or heard. The silence was deafening.
Like MODNROd, the track is another story... |

I hit a curb and flew over the handlebars back in 1982 on my Honda Passport, but that bike and I were indestructable in those days.
I went down on my Honda 50cc in some gravel at less than 5mph and damn near broke my foot. |

I'm confused. The OP asked who had NOT laid it down yet this has turned into many tales of laying it down. We've cornered too fast & laid down this thread
