I ride a gtv250, and whenever I take my wife on a longer than 20 ride, she complains about her knees hurting. We are thinking that the pegs are too low for her to properly reach. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

My girlfriend has the same issue with my GTS. She thinks it is caused by the bad angle her legs need to be in to get around the sides and put her legs on the pegs.

Wife complains about the same thing. I've ignored it for the time being. Not sure what to do (she doesn't want her own bike) but will likely figure it our this winter.

Soon as I put a backrest on mine, I haven't heard many passenger complaints about the foot pegs.
But yeah, this is a common issue with the modern large frames. The pegs just aren't in the best place. Some folks here have added extensions to their pegs in various ways, some folks let their passengers use the crash bars as foot rests. For the latter solution, make sure the passenger doesn't actually apply much pressure to the bars, and check the mount points often. |

i had a tall blonde bombshell on the back of my gts yesterday and she said the footpegs were fine, maybe the geometry suits taller frames. her only complaint was the poor absorption of bumps and potholes
