Was he ok? What kind of bike was it? Did he just forget to use threadlocker on the caliper bolts?

Is that his shoe sitting there in the street?

Yep he was ok, he showed up the bar later and earned the name "knees" because they were scraped up. He was in good spirits when I talked to him later. Kinda freaked out my buddys wife, they were behind him when it happend and it was her first ride.

Yep that was his shoe and yep he didnt use thread lock. So that photo shows the importance of thread lock.

BTW, he was happy to hear I took photos and was looking forward to seeing them.

Yup. If he used thread lock his shoe would have stayed on.

I'm glad he made it OK. I'm the one that was right behind him when he had the accident. Being that it was the first time my wife joined me on a rally, her nerves were frazzled after seeing the spill.

From my vantage point, I thought he had locked his front brakes when he went down. I kept my distance from his bike before the spill. I'm glad because I had to slow down and swerve within seconds, which freaked my wife. My wife and I kept wondering if he had a broken leg, but glad to hear he made it with minor injuries.

All told it was a great rally. My wife really enjoyed the ride, scenery, and the rally despite the spill in front of us. Now she wants her own scooter .

Thanks Manny for posting the pictures. As always, great shots!

Glad to hear he's OK. I was just in front of him and I felt like he missed me by inches. Really a hair raising incident!
