Been awhile since I last posted on here so thought I'd say hello and share about the trip I made over the weekend. On Friday I took the scoot in to the dealer at Sherman Oaks to get my tires swapped out with the much applauded Heidenau K61s. As soon as they put the new tires on, I basically hopped on the 101 solo and made my way up to the East Bay, which took me roughly 8 hours. Note to self - riding at night sucks. Especially on a 150.

On Saturday, my girlfriend, dog and I took off for SF to meet one of our buddies and cruised up through a good length of CA-1 and ended up at a campsite near Manchester right before Fort Bragg. This was my first time riding long distance with a passenger, and was pretty impressed with how everything went - this Vespa machine is a serious BEAST that purrs like a kitten day in, day out. Granted as long as you're not slaving away at the interstate.

Sunday we traversed through CA-128 which was gorgeous by the Navarro River Redwoods State Park. Took the 101 back down to SF, and the Dumbarton bridge back to the East Bay, where I took a flight from Oakland back to SoCal on Monday morning.

Sometimes I think of getting a bigger displacement scoot, but I'm just too in love as it is to seriously consider it. In the meantime, I'm trying to find ways to tack on as much crazy long-range miles as I can, while I can.
