Every time I thought my scoot was starting to feel a little 'out of sorts' during my daily commute, my tyre was past it's best. Two Metzelers I have had went completely out of shape too.
I now pay more attention to my intuition rather than just visually observing tyre wear and hoping to extend the life of the tyre for another few weeks. |

In my experience... when I shop for tires online... you will find a tire. I will call it TIRE X for $50.00. and it will cost you $5.00 to $10.00 shipping. If you found TIRE X at your local scooter the price will be something in the range of $55-63 with no shipping cost. How much do you need to save online to justify waiting for the tire when you can't ride and were planning on taking the scoot into the shop to have them put the tire on? As for the tire... Call Bosco at San Jose Vespa, he'll set you right. Or one other other great local dealers. |

But most places if you order over $75 or $100 you get free shipping.
And I usually find the motorcycle shops to be close to double what I can get them on line for. |

Is it true that both the front and back tire need to match...same brand? I was told that if I replaced the back, I need to keep the same tire as the front, or replace them both. Thanks for all the help.
