Just wondered if the 26mm carb for a P200e with a Malossi Kit and a 226 vintage exhaust can still work with autolube. Also is the choke cable set up the same as the 24mm. I have bought a 28mm Dellorto, but might trade it in for the 26mm if it means I can keep auto lube.

I would ditch the autolube anyway they can be more trouble than their worth, if they get stuck you don't know it and your engine is running without oil the result will be a very nice malossi 210 kit sized paper weight. I would personally go for the 28mm dellorto on your set up, they can be tricky to set up but if done right your P200 should fly. I had the same set up om my P200 disc but with a dominator pipe on. I had it dyno'd and it ran like a dream.

Forgot to say you can still have a pull choke set up with the 28mm

Hi folks! Saw this topic, and hoped someone might know the answer to my dilemma... Got a '79 P-200 with a Malossi reed-valve intake & PHBH30 carb... Presently, the choke is just a stranded cable hanging out the side of the cowl.... The end that fastens to the carb has a little barrel-shaped nipple on it, and the cable itself is too large to go thru the original choke knob hole.... Is there a factory-made cable that'll allow me to use the original choke knob? Will I have to fabricate something?
