It's hot today but to make me feel a little cooler, I decided to do some cool-sweather shopping. This is my first autumn with a scooter so I'm winging it on what I think I will need for cold weather comfort gear. It gets cold and snowy here. I plan on riding any day when there is no threat of snow or ice. I've been treating myself today. So far I purchased some Frye motorcycle boots, a nice Corazzo jacket, Corazzo under jacket hoody. I have the other gear: rain gear, several types of gloves, the basics... what else will I need? Does a lap blanket really keep your warm?

P.S. How hot is your weather? 100 degrees right now and it's 8:30 pm - ugh!

The weather thing on my computer says it's only 93F. The outside thermometer says 90F, but it's dark now. The car thermometer said 108F at one point today One more month and then the daily highs should be in the low 90s

At the end of September and into October. Also in April and May. However, I rode in fabulously beautiful weather the entire week after Christmas. It was in the 60s and 70s Razz emoticon You gotta pay the price sometime.

I don't remember bitchin', except for maybe that day when it started out in the high 60s and dropped 30 degrees in 30 minutes. I was trying to get home before I froze my butt off. Anyway, Summer sucks here. Spring and Fall are where it's at.

You want a cool summer? Come visit San Diego!

Today the sun was out, it was clear & bright. The high was 70 degrees... I kid you not!

(Although in full disclosure, this is the coolest summer we've had in 80 years or so. Normally it's just a bit warmer. Razz emoticon )

It's 11pm in Milwaukee and 75', but that's very deceiving. There is high dew point and humidity numbers in the 70s as well......it's that heavy hard to breath muggy-ness. However, my fav thing to do is hop on the vespa and take a ride around the lake front in this weather....then all is well...until I get off the vespa...then back to wishing for those late september temps...ahhh

Abso-freaking-lutely it does. All I have experience with is the Vespa Granturismo apron, but I love it. It looks dorky, but I don't care. More than worth the dork-factor, in my mind.

I'd say you treated yourself very well. Good for you. I'm jealous though. I've been wanting to pick up some corazzo stuff. The leather 5.0 being number one. Only problem is there is only one dealer listed for Milwaukee, and when I checked them out they only order the stuff. I'd really want to try something like that on in person. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Crying or Very sad emoticon

Call up Corazzo. They have a really good return policy. Plus, they are really good at determining size over the phone. I had to return my Ventata. It fit without my padded motorcycle pants, but not with. There was absolutely no problem in returning it. I even had them cross-ship it.

I love their new size chart. They have a size chart for each jacket, not just across the board sizing. I have a unisex jacket and a womens jacket from Corazzo and the sizing is perfect. I haven't had to experience the return policy.

That's great to know thanks! I really do like that leather 5.0. And scoot chef....you're right that is a cool size chart, but still wasn't sure. Glad to hear someone on here say that it's worked well for them. I see a leather 5.0 in my future!!! Razz emoticon
