So my dads got a primi sitting in his garage and a 4th scooter is one to many for him so I can take it off his hands. Only problem is there's an air leak on the crankshaft seals. Looking on vespa spears an engine seal set is £80 and there isn't any seals in the clutch sections. What the anem of the part I should be looking for?

Thanks

Not sure about the verbiage your using. "Crankshaft seal"? I think you mean the clutchside seal.

Anyway... There are 3 seals the flyside, the clutchside, and the rearhub seal.

The flyside and rearhub can be replaced without splitting the cases.

If your not 100% positive which one is leaking, just replace those two and see where you stand. If you are still leaking air, you'll have to drop the engine to do the clutchside seal.

The other prominent area that sucks air is the carb manifold area. It has a little felt packing ring that needs to be greased well and then the manifold collar usually needs a little sealant/hylomar.

Check this website:

(Navigate to the "Technical" section for more info on how to get it 4-square.)

If it's the seal it's most likely the flywheel side. A shop can do this one without splitting the cases, just removing the flywheel and stator. The seal set is $19

So if just the one it would be less.

Sorrt about my terminology. The bike is 120 miles and Im just going from what my dad said in a quick text yesterday. He probably mention crank side though I'll double check.
Believe it or not, iv stripped down a PK engine and from what I can see online they look similar, so I'll be able to fit it.
