I carry a bungee net in my glove box. It works great. Strong enough to hold a case of beer on the rack.
![]() I also have a milk crate which I modified to attached to the rack. I only put this on when I know I'm going shopping, etc... ![]() |

There is a third way. I was given a pack of these as a present, and they sat around in the pack, (Ohh link straps, how ........nice) for a long time, then I had to use them........ and ordered some more.

You really need both with an assortment of bungies. I also carry a cloth bag that hangs properly on the curry hook.

Both are cheap and take up little space. So I carry both.
I also keep one of those small eco-friendly grocery bags in the top case if I need to carry something on the hook. |

Love my ROK straps
![]() I've used the small size daily for a few years to attach a daypack to the rear rack and the larger ones for long trips/bulky items. |

Both live in my pet carrier. I use the net for holding down lumpy things or things which need a wider area of tie down because a bungee would otherwise crush it in a bad way. I also have a couple of Rok straps for bigger loads.

Thanks for all the input. Just ordered the "motorcycle 2-pack ROK Straps" off Amazon. Wouldn't known about them if I didn't ask - great forum

I have it in my tool box, here it is called Gaffer Tape , Duct Tape in the States. It has a Light side, a Dark side.......... and it binds the galaxy together. Thinking about it, a friend of mine who is a shiny new Sub Lieutenant in Bomb disposal says you only need two tools in your kit, WD 40 and Gaffer tape. One to make things go, and one to make things stop. F |

Not something I have ever given any thought to, anything I have carried on my scoot has always fitted in the pet carrier. Never used the rear rack but this thread got me thinking and inspired me to purchase one of these, just in case the need should arise...
