You know, I get that part. If you've got tools, use them -- this wasn't a how-to video aimed at novice engine bodgers, so I can't really hold his choice of tools against him.
What really bothers me is that at almost every junction -- and even with vaguely appropriate tools in hand -- he chose the Path of the Bodge. He warped the two halves of the "case" by over-welding them, he assembled the crank shaft with
fucking set screws, the alignment of the case parts with a big round pin was haphazard at best, and on and on.
I kept throwing up in my mouth a little at every turn.
