I saw this today in a department store in Bangkok. It's a display in front of a clothing store. You can almost feel the suffering it's living through being stuck there like that. It's f@cking shameful.

If not bolted I'm pretty sure you can by jiggling it a little bit twist it the the right position.
This is a perfect example why you should not sit on the scoot while on the center stand This is exaggerated because of the thick thing under the pegs but still ! |

That mudguard will never be bolted in until it's turned around the right way. All they have to do is take the front wheel off and rotate it around. Somehow that escaped their thinking. I'm guessing the floor is significantly bent from from all the fat fuckjers sitting on it to have their photos taken.

Theres an auction coming up in French Lick Indiana. This 1965 model is in it. I will be monitoring to see if the price exceeds $3000.
Funny thing, there are some awesome cars and motorcycles in this collection. https://www.proxibid.com/Freije-Freije-Auctioneers/ANNUAL-SPRING-BIG-BOY-TOY-AUCTION-DAY-2-RING-2/event-catalog/275784

What's crazy is how no two lines on that bike align with each other. It has the design aesthetic of a pile of sticks. And yet some fool is probably going to lay out some bag for it.
And that's better we even get into full Bodgespotting Mode.

It really does suck, I actually bid $10, but i heard it had a decent motor.
I did win this MG Midget at that same auction.

An I a bodge creator it a sinner?
Chap I knew once delivered me a rotten 150 SuperSprint and a box of parts he purchased from the likes of SSC and Scoot-- I dutifully had the frame repaired with relevant metal and had it painted the colour of his New car. Rebuilt the T5 motor and used all new fixings/rubbers etc as supplied. I won't say there wasn't some amount of rework necessary to the parts and some were just plain binned. Post nut and bolt restoration he took it home 80 miles away, took it to a scooter specialist for MOT and the Insoector asked him why he had spent his money on a Vietbodge.. it's still rolling around today to the best of my knowledge Thoughts?? |

I see lots of rust, plus the bodgy 10" wheels. If not Vietnamese, maybe Indonesian, Indian or Paki origins?? Surely it needs to be checked from up close...

To me what makes it not a restoration but a bodge is the whole execution.
Wrong toolbox tail light incorrect wrong speedo Wrong Horncast Mashed electrics Badges Paint that looks like it's done with a brush Read the description for the other things wrong. It's wrong just plain wrong to even consider this in tbe category of a resto IMHO But I will defer to the opinion of those more knowledgeable than I in this categorisation
