I agree with Gravelrash2004 - with the out of place horn cover and garish Vespa script logo (on the wrong side!) it transcends mere "bad resto". I vote...

I must admit that I like the fake GS body kit. I've considered it for making my Stella look like more of an oldie. Not to pass it off as an old Vespa because it wouldn't fool anyone. Just to enjoy the look on an anything goes kind of scooter.

A GS body kit done *well* is a glorious thing on a P Range

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not a purist by any imaginings, I have a cutdown/chop scooter in my collection.

It's execution and over bloated claims that get my goat

Now you got me thinking... once I've kitted my P to 260cc, I could get the fancy panels and finish it up as a GS 260. 🤔

Add to that the rubber over the bridge piece with some aluminium sharks tooth end caps and the seat from a Rally... Glorious piece of kit

The Rally seat is rather handsome: https://www.scooterwest.com/rally-seat-original-style-seat-rally.html

I wonder how much work it would be to fit that to a P?

There's a proud tradition of outlaw Porsches - have them how you want them, and ignore the purists.

Very different from bodging, both in the intent and the results.

There's a certain vibe, but specifically...
1) 10" conversion
2) paint flaking off under the tractor seat
3) The tractor seat
4) Paki-style cowl decorations
5) Weird Chromed flex-duit on the brake and shifter cables
6) Missing aluminum strips on the floor mat
7) "Not running"
8) Speedo w/ super tall bezel
9) All the steel hardware is rusting (not galvanized)

You nailed it. 9 out of 10 for a bodge. You would need to add a huge winged P (.25) and yellow boots (.75) for a perfect 10.

Thanks for the quick replies. This one would throw me for a loop.

What do you guys think? I'm saying bodge and telling the person to run.

It's surprisingly understated for a bodge, but definitely is one.

Someone just posted this one on Reddit. I told him to walk away. Other than the glovebox and bondo flaking, any other signs?

Quick list (working from my phone)...
10" conversion
Double gloveboxes (this is a 99% certain clue)
Cowl and mudguard guards bolted onto the panels
Bolted on leg shield trim
Tall speedo bezel
Headset bolt looks strange
Seat
Afore mentioned bondo
Gas tank is bent around the edges, caving in from rot
