I don't know, shiny yes.
But no gasket under tank, floormat looks correct and no ignition over fuel tap. |

what's the origin of that?
it looks like a bike built by Nyle Schafhauser at Go Fast... The only all-chrome Vespa I've ever seen... somehow I don't think it qualifies... to chrome plate an entire bike, the body would have to be perfect. any body work/welds/rust would ruin it. |

What makes you think "viet-b0dge" about the P125X besides the 2-tone? I know it's a classic asian-style paint scheme, but that looks more like a custom paint scheme scooter that someone thought would be easier to slap an LML in than learn how to overhaul the original engine.
I've got an all-US P. 2-tone. Painted it myself. |

This is why I thought this freaking thread should be gone and why I pushed to start the sticky "Things to consider when buying a vintage scooter"... Too many people out there talking about shit they know nothing about. Sorry to seem negative, but please people, this is getting old... Same goes with scoot.net. I can't even begin to count the times some poor soul is trying to sell a legit bike and someone (uninformed newb) flames the ad. This drives me freaking nuts every time. Do us all a favor (this is not directed at any one person), if you don't know what the hell you are talking about, don't say shit....

Someone on scootrally.com just said that a flywheel puller addition thing on an Allstate was not a bo..dge - yes, yes it is. It isn't a vietbo..dge, but a farmerbod.ge. Two tone doesn't = b0dge, chrome doesn't = b0dge....eh, just kill the thread. |

I have to agree that this thread has out lived its purpose, no longer educational, just another "hey look what I found while cruising clist".
My 2 almost worthless pennies. Birdnest, kill it. |

That KC scoots not namtastic. It might not be to everyone's taste, but it has never seen Asia. Sure he modified it but it shouldn't be on this thread. He swapped some stuff out and loves a little...okay, a lot of bling. But it not at all a b-odge. I've seen it in person and the resto was done here in the midwest.
That said, I'll see you tonight at the rally Blackshirt. I'll recognize your scoot for sure. I'll be on a white 300. Looking forward to an introduction. |

this thread is still important to many out there who have not yet but will one day be presented with a bodge. and this is a resource that can help.
even if some jack-a-lope cry's wolf at 85 P200 it only really shows how dumb they are about the thread topic. if the thread bothers you, don't read it.

I agree, I think the thread has merit. I think it will be most useful if it sticks to detailed analyses by experts (e.g. "yes, that is a b0dge - note the yellow boots, mismatched speedo, rubber gasket under tank, the fender is from a different model" what have you). Then it educates. If we just say "yes, that's a b0dge" to something someone posts, then people without experience will look at it without knowing what the indicators are. And then they jump to conclusions like "well, it was 2-tone, and so is this other scoot, so it must be a b0dge too. I'll flag the seller"
Of course, I'm torn because I don't want b0dge builders to see the details and think "oh, I'd better hide that more carefully" |

Ebays certainly full of them at the moment.
Suspicious how the owner wants rid after importing & not getting an MOT done. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blue-1965-Vespa-VBB2-150cc-/190588782726?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2c5ffa0886 |

Yep,
If I wanted some one dead, I have a gun. It's unfortunate that every vespa with yellow boot's is automatically being considered as a bodgh. And removing the Yellow boot's off a solid restoration that needs them to compliment a Yellow (or other) color scheme, just so it will not be considered a bodgh... |
