Fresh from Australia,

Date Listed:23/03/2013Last Edited:23/03/2013For Sale By:OwnerMotorcycle Make:ScooterEngine Displacement (cc):150Year:1967Kilometres:1608 This sexy little 1967 collector's bike has split seats with a fetching and rare candy apple Red and Cream duco, with smart chrome trimmings. She's a bit clunky, as you'd expect, but has been serviced by the lads at Vespa Shop and kept in storage most of her life. Unfortunately has sustained a dint on the front right hand side of guard (Not in picture) (that was a bad day I can tell you), but there is no structural damage and the price reflects the current owner's awareness of repair and this has been factored into the asking price, which is $800 less than purchase price 3 years ago. Full 6 months rego. This is a bike for the romantic couple or for pulling Mod chics and chaps... Do yourself a favour. A reluctant sale.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR ROFL emoticon

I'm not sure if this is a bodge or not? It has some of the tell tale signs.

But the guy selling it says that it was restored in Wichita, KS by Roman Holidays. I think he is confused because Roman Holiday is a movie that has a scene with a Vespa in it.

Thats what I was afraid of.

I have a golf cart for sale on craigslist and this guy wants to trade. At first I was really excited because the scooter looks amazing (keep in mind, that I knew nothing about Vespa's 1 hr ago, except they are sweet and can be worth a lot).

My golf cart is worth around 2 grand so I thought I may have found a great trade, but then I got on here and started doing some research....

Roman Holidays seems to be a scooter repair shop in Kansas... do a simple google search, get their phone number, and call them......

Who knows if they are legit, or if they are like the guy in Seattle... anyone know of this shop?

Then this thread that the admin started has worked.

Your Golf Kart is worth 2000 dollars more than that bike.

I want a Golf Kart.

I appreciate the feed back. I am definitely going to pass on this trade, hopefully something fun comes along soon.

Its a shame that some of these Bodge's look so good. I imagine that the average person would be all over this thinking they got a great deal, just to find out they have a turd later on down the road.

Where are you finding this shop called Roman Holidays in Wichita? I was going to call them and find out why this seller says that they restored a bike that is so obviously straight out of Vietnam.

There is no such business that I could find.

I am pretty new to this but could this possibly be a bodge?

Also notice another add of the same bike with a slightly sepia-toned photo to make it look old.

I have a 1965 Vespa vnb 125cc vintage scooter. It runs great. Well maintained daily driver gets around 70 mpg. It has a clear Wisconsin title. It has some scratches and chips in paint. but its a great daily driver

What makes me think bodge is the over the top chrome pieces but again I am very new to this.

That chrome does not strike me as SEA style. Also the black trim is not SEA. It looks like it has the correct square speedo. That's WI in the back ground as well.

It's got a two-tone paint job, but it's a Mk2 GS with the correct seat, taillight, cowls, glovebox...

Not a bodge, or at least nothing in the photo to indicate it is.
