Oh No! not the old "Stored in a warehouse for 47 years" story!! That's the biggest load... Just take one look at the floor mat! They didn't even have that Font 47 years ago! Razz emoticon

Someone should definitely send that seller here! for that reality check!

I just wonder if the seller came up with that BS, or if it was the tuhhuuurd who sold it to them!

A couple of you guys will remember these. Now they are trying to bundle them with with a third bike and an engine. $5800.00 bucks CAD for a Vespa connoisseur.

Another one on Scoot net. Can someone tell me where that accessory on the side of the bike below the seat originates? It's also on the bike above.

Take it back? I don't understand the 1st line.. what do you mean by "location" vespa? Pics? Let's see what you're dealing with.

Submit pictures so we know what you mean by "fake". Fake has no real meaning and I doubt any repair shop would say something is "fake". They had to have told you something about what you have and/or what is wrong with it.

If I lived in Newyork I would take a look at that G S , not for $7,000. . That scoot looks more like just bad choice of extras . If that scoot could be talked down to $4,000. I would take a hard look at it .

Not a "bodge".

Just some custom mats that seem to do the job.

Roman Holiday at your Doorstep !!

1961 Retro Green Vespa - Named Myrtle

She'll get you around in style pretty much anywhere you want to go, great for inner city lving and lifestyle areas.

She's just had a complete new fork assembly, suspension, hub and brakes. All new cables fitted and engine rebuilt by previous owner around 18 months-2 years ago.

Its a 125cc - I could not find the correct listing under the options. Chassis is a VBB, Engine VNB

Myrtle is in great condition, full of life and character...and ready for a new home and a new master !

I think some of you are confusing the green bodge with the VL3 engine ad that Sfvsr posted.

Fabio is not selling the green bike........although it is something he would mess with.

Not a bodge...But
But the statement below is definitely way out

85-90MPH on a n LX150?!
If he rides it everyday (its a 2008) how does it only have 1,500 miles?
5 miles/day X 5days/wk X 5yrs=6300

I can dig a little "advertising" but bullshit is something all together different.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/4132308289.html

Beautiful Black 2008 LX 150cc Vespa. With only 1,500 miles this bike has been covered and never dumped. Perfect with no dents or scratches . It comes with rear chrome rack, front chrome fender protector, rubber foot floor mat, and weather shield. I ride everyday all year round and you can't beat 5$ of premium gas every 2 weeks and being able to park anywhere. I can hit 85-90 MPH on the freeway.
Serious inquires only.
3000$ firm
would consider a trade for a running 1970'S BMW 2002, OR late 70's -80's 528 BMW.

Having read this thread a few times, and seen many photos of potential bodges, and numerous references to yellowing white walls... Blah blah...
BUT there seems to be a distinct lack of finer details to look for to identify a bodge, and no close ups.
Ie broken lower rear shock mount, paste as gaskets, stress marks where guard bracket is, 10mm thick bog, seam missing from floor welds under guard above rear wheel, broken fins on head etc...
There are normally 10 or so subtle hints... Does anyone have good pics of them?

Body is a repaint (don't believe the wheels and fork would have been body color) but that is no big deal.

The engine on the other hand.....yoinks. Do you see that you need to remove the bodywork to get at the kick starter?

I also see that it doesn't have the swing arm to lift up the engine cowl. I don't see the obvious bodge indicators on this one other than the couple of chrome items. I guess they are getting a little better on disguising these. This would actually be the first widebody nammer I actually come across.
