"lovingly restored overseas" Much loved, but seldom ridden, this Classic Vespa Scooter was restored overseas to it's original showroom condition and shipped here as new. The restoration included a complete drivetrain and fuel supply rebuild, complete trim-off respray, zeroing of the clock, the addition of a second storage compartment on the left hand fender, the addition of a New-Old-Stock Piaggio Floor Mat, upgraded wheels to 10", new brakes, tip-to-tail lubrication of all moving parts etc. We added a scooter cover for it as well to keep it clean and protected when not in use. The bike is in as-new condition. We've ridden it a little bit here and there, around town etc, but no major trips or highway usage. The clock now reads 00323 hrs. If you look around, you will find that this double-seat configuration with the spare tire is very rare. The scooter can be started and seen running. Bring your helmet if you want ride it, serious buyers only, for obvious reasons. ![]() |

Not a bodge...!?!?!?
This one is near me. Funny I am sneaking mine into the house $200 at a time... his price doesn't seem terrible... although 80% of the fun for me is the wrenching and thinking.

Hello,
I'm a newbie and I found this listing very suspicious. Could I get some expert opinions on whether this is a Bodge? "I have a 1968 vintage vespa which was shipped to the USA for photo shoots and commercials this vespa is in perfect condition and it has not been ridden since it was a show/pic scooter! It runs great I start it every week. I have all paperwork for shipment and authenticity had not been registered because it was used for commercials and photo shoots and did not want to ride. Has low low miles! $2000 OBO call if interested!" -seller I know people can spot an asian-made just by the parts from a restored scooter so I've also attached that here. Thanks so much and I appreciate it in advance! Kat ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Isn't there another thread on this scooter. Bodge in my view. Imported will be from SEA. I think the other thread sunmed this one up.

Brand new bodge
I guess this is the evolution of the chinese Vespa clone... I see they've now gone to a Lambretta-ish style fork and guard. Gotta love the "wings" crest on the legshield.

I see so many BODGES, that I rarely post on this thread.
But, this scooter has something I've never seen. The front mudguard looks weird, but the engine has a strange added piece. ![]() ![]() http://longisland.craigslist.org/mcy/4086217534.html |
